The focus of this month’s offer is Jill White’s,and to a lesser extent, Max Dupain’s, signature image, Magnolia. Jills image offers an intimate, evocative portrayal whereas Dupain’s is more modernist, exposing interpretation. Jill learnt from and through Dupain over her 25 year career as Dupain’s studio manager and photographer. Both artists had their own distinctive approaches to subjects as can be viewed in their galleries.
