Photo of model Noreen Hallard, in a striking evening gown. The image is a rare glimpse of Dupain at work on a fashion shoot for department store David Jones. Taken on the then remote Cronulla sand-hills, the woman in the white dress behind the model is Olive Cotton, Max’s studio assistant, future wife and recognised photographer.
