Melbourne

Dupain visited Melbourne in 1946 as part of his job with the Department of Information to photograph the cities of Australia. This was part of the governments campaign to attract people from post-war Europe to the country. The images beneath are offered as hand printed Limited Edition prints made by Jill White, Dupain’s studio manager, some years ago. If you are after the fine art digital format available in various sizes, there are extra fees added to the regular prices, which start at $550 for 50cm prints.

The images are the actual photographs of the prints. Most are the traditional 16×20″ Ilford paper silver gelatin format, some are slightly smaller. All are in excellent condition. Embossed in the right corner, comes with certificate of authenticity, only several of each are available.
